Breakfast with Santa

’Tis the season for ample helpings of hearty breakfast foods, hot chocolate, cookies, and merry-making festivities with jolly St. Nick. Several Cleveland-area venues and restaurants will be hosting breakfasts with Santa throughout the holiday season. Here is a list of a few. Soothing Santa: 8:30am-10:30am, Belden Village Mall, 4230 Belden Village Mall Circle Northwest, Canton. Santa knows some children need extra patience and quiet time during their visit. Santa invites children with special needs and their siblings to this sensory-friendly event. He will have a special gift for each child. Space is limited to 50 families. Brunch with Santa: 9am, noon, 3 pm, Merwin’s Wharf, 1785 Merwin Avenue, Cleveland. This family-friendly event features an all-you-can-eat brunch buffet, face painting, balloon and artist show, and a visit with Santa, with the riverfront serving as a beautiful backdrop. Cookies and Cocoa with Santa: 2pm-4pm, St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 9549 Highland Drive, Brecksville. Each family is encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Access Shelter for Women & Children. Attendees to this free community event can nibble on cookies, sip on hot chocolate, and get a photo with Santa.
Breakfast with Santa and Santa’s Workshop: 9am-1pm,  Western Reserve Historical Society, 10825 East Boulevard, Cleveland. A pancake breakfast is held from 9am-11am, and a children’s craft in Santa’s workshop follows. Festivities include story time, photos, carousel rides, and museum admission. Elves ages 3 to 10 may schedule wood-crafting time in Santa’s workshop. Each elf will assemble and paint a toy and a gift. Breakfast tickets are $17 for adults, $12 for children ages 3 to 12, and free for members. Workshop tickets are $15 for children ages 3 to 10, or $10 for members. Space is limited. Polka Brunch with Santa and Krampus: 11am (doors open at 10am), Music Box Supper Club, 1148 Main Avenue, Cleveland. Enjoy a full lineup of delicious offerings—including eggs benedict, bananas foster French toast, breakfast burritos, sausage, bacon, pastries, and fresh fruit, then hop, chasse, and get down to punk polka with the nationally renowned Chardon Polka Band. Photo booth with Santa and Cleveland Krampus available. Babies are free. Children under age 8 are $5. All other tickets are $10.

Dave & Buster’s Holly, Jolly Breakfast with Santa: 9am-11am, Dave & Buster’s, 25735 First Street, Westlake. Plenty of breakfast items and entertainment are on the menu at this gaming complex. A $22.11 ticket buys you a full buffet lineup with Santa, plus unlimited video game play with a $10 power card that is included in the price. Ticket sales end at 11:30am on Friday, December 8. Breakfast in the Barn with Santa: 8 am, 9:30am, 11am, 12:30pm, Mapleside Farms, 294 Pearl Road, Brunswick. Enjoy a family-style breakfast buffet while overlooking the bucolic orchards at Mapleside Farms. Breakfast includes a hayride, cupcake decoration, visit with Santa, craft-building, and create-your-own caramel apples (for an additional charge). Ticket prices begin at $20. Bistro Lunch with Santa: 11am-3pm, Gervasi Vineyard, 1700 55th Street Northeast, Canton. Sip a glass of red or white (or both) while the man in red lunches with the kiddos at the winery. Reservations recommended. Visit for more information.
Brunch with Santa: 11am-2pm, House of Blues Cleveland, 308 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland. Join Mr. and Mrs. Claus and their Elf friends for a meet-and-greet and all-you-can-eat brunch buffet. Breakfast with Santa: 10am-1pm, LaCentre Conference & Banquet Facility, 25777 Detroit Road, Westlake. The event features a breakfast buffet with made-to-order waffles, bacon and sausage, scrambled eggs, build-your-own yogurt bar, home fries, holiday cookies, and beverages for the adults. Kiddos can write their letters to Santa, and color. Tickets are $21.95 for adults, $9.95 for kids 3-12. Children under 3 are free. RSVP is required, and ticket sales end on December 13.
