Where did you initially create your product? What inspired it?
When Health Junkie, Nicole Lazar, was pregnant, an ill friend visited her home. She did everything she could to boost her immune system, knowing she was particularly vulnerable. Looking for a good elderberry syrup supplement, Nicole was disappointed with what she found: products with an excess of processed sugar and other additives seemed to be the only options. Knowing she could make something healthier and more wholesome herself, Nicole got to work. Demand for her Elderberry Syrup began with family and close friends, and quickly spread. Nicole attended the Central Kitchen’s incubator class and launched Health Junkie Elderberry Syrup in 2018.
